Once upon a time, there existed a very intimate and special point in time If you ever sit and listen, you can hear the elders speak of it in old tales and new nursery rhymes. An earth-shaking moment, when an individual became something far greater than oneself. They became part of a collective whole, whose power superseded the untold details of death.

The mass of pain, tribulation, frustration, despair and weakness that had surrounded me grew thicker despite all of my beneficial intentions. All the physical power that I possessed and had so often relied on now lay dormant. Light had long given way to darkness and the air was extremely thin, as though I stood on the highest mountain peak.

Dare I divulge the depth of my desperate desire for this sweet, doting mademoiselle? When wayward words wander like weighted wisps of wanting, while I wait in loneliest hell.

Looking down from a narrow ledge, I am filled with respect for the heights our forefathers climbed. Overcoming any obstacle of treachery, there must have been a goal hard-pressed in their hearts and minds.
